Haha. =) Ok, so we took a trip to Louisianna for Memorial Day weekend and we had a BLAST!! My cousin Courtney (hey Boo!) got MARRIED and I got to be her Matron of Honor and I sang too. I'm not sure how we've managed to stay close all these years living so far apart but we have and I'm thrilled about it. Courtney is the sister I never had and I couldn't be happier for her and Ryan (whom I totally approve of)!

Anyway, the wedding was beautiful as was the bride, and it was a great time to see lots of family that I haven't seen in quite a while. =) The first couple of days we were there we got to just hang out and enjoy everyone's company. I ate lots of good food too... tasty BBQ, fish, cobbler, cake, cake, cake and sweet tea, sweet tea, sweet tea... to name a few. I came back with a huge belly ache and vowed to never do it again...until next time.

The day before the wedding, I helped Courtney and my Aunt Cindy (Courtney's mom) decorate for the reception. Then, we relaxed by getting mani/pedis before the rehearsal dinner that night. Later that night, all of Courtney's bridesmaids stayed with one of her friends in her gorgeous home. She was such a great hostess and I had a great time catching up with Courtney's friends I knew from growing up and getting to know those I didn't know already. They are all fabulous and welcomed me right in. Whew!

Oh, and I edited these on my laptop, so they appear pretty dark on the Web site... sorry about that. The pictures aren't great anyway, but you get the idea. Just ignore the darkness...pretend everyone has a golden tan. =)

Like I said, the wedding went off without a hitch and I'm honored to have been a part of it. On our way back, we stopped to visit an IKEA. We love IKEA's stuff but had never actually been in a store. It was cool but I'm not gonna lie...it was a little overwhelming to say the least. We found some stuff we want for our new house that we've yet to find. Sigh. That's a whole other story.

Now, I think I need a vacation to recover from vacation! =) It was so much fun though. I always feel right at home down there and love to visit. I think Dac even feels a little more at home down there now too. I hope you all had a great holiday weekend.

Stay tuned for pictures from Justin and Erica's wedding we shot a couple weeks ago!

Well, we had another busy and exciting weekend! We went to a graduation party Saturday for two of Dac's cousins and that was fun. We also photographed the beautiful (seriously, beautiful) wedding of another one of Dac's cousins (and friend), Erica and her husband Justin. We LOVE doing pictures for these guys. A couple days ago I posted a link to their engagement session we did this past Fall, but in case you missed it, here it is again.

Anyway, like I said before, we'll be without our computer for a few days so I'm blogging twice in one day. =) I couldn't go without posting a couple peaks from the wedding. I'll tell you more about its awesomeness when I post more of the pictures. Enjoy!

Erica and Justin - thanks so much for having us capture your big day! We'll have more to show you soon but until then, enjoy that honeymoon! =)

We shot this session over Mother's Day weekend and it was cold, rainy and windy as could be. Still, we headed out to a couple fun locations and made it work...shivers, chattering teeth, and all. =) Cassandra and Ryan were such troopers - thanks guys! We're very excited about the wedding this summer! Here's a few of our favorites:

I also want to let you all know that starting tomorrow, we'll be without our computer for a few days, so I probably won't be blogging much more for a while (although I hope to get one more up before that!!) and we probably won't be checking e-mails, but go ahead and send them, we'll get back to you just as soon as we can!!!

I'll say it again, this was an amazing wedding! We loved being a part of it. The bride and groom were down-to-earth and fun to be with - as was everyone there. Everything was beautiful and even though we had a rain scare early on at the salon, it was fabulous blue skies for the main event.

The wedding took place on the deck of a beautiful house on an amazing farm in Oxford. Truly, it was beautiful. After the short and sweet ceremony we headed out to the barn for some food, drinks and party action.

I got the pleasure of hanging out with the girls before the ceremony. They are a blast to be with and they all looked great. Ryan and Amber are so dang in love that it was almost impossible to get a bad picture of them!! Here are a few of our favs from the day. Enjoy!!

Ryan and Amber - thanks so much for letting us be part of your big day. We enjoyed every minute of it. =)

We just got home from yet another beautiful outdoor wedding today for these guys. More to come later!

So. As you know, Mother's Day was Sunday. We don't have kids...unless you count our adorable (yes, I know that's subjective) pug Peety. But, I am a Godmother. I was also the Fairy Godmother in our high school's production of Cinderella my junior year. I got to wear a rockin' copper metallic dress and wave a glowing broom, but that's another story. I'm also a Godmother right now to the beautiful, talented, and amazing 7-month old Journey. =) If you can't remember who Journey is, shame on you but you can look here or here for a refresher.

Yesterday was a less than delightful day, until I got this:

That's right. A Godmother's day card from miss Journey herself! Sure, it was signed in her mama's handwriting, but it melted my heart none-the-less. I just love her to pieces!! Journey, thanks so much for the great card. I'll be scheduling a playdate soon! =)
