Well guys, I'm sitting in the basement right now (thankful to have service down here). The tornado sirens are a blaring so I thought I'd make good use of my down time!

The weekend before last, after Jory and Kristin's fantastic wedding (coming to a blog near you soon), we photographed this hilarious family! It was Mom & Dad's 50th Anniversary!! =) I just love 50th anniversaries. It's something to be proud of and grateful for - to be married that long! =)

Here's just a couple pictures from the afternoon:

Pictures from a super fun engagement session coming real soon!

Two weeks ago Dac and I headed up to Council Grove for our first wedding of the season - Brock and Kari's. You'll probably remember Kari from her bridal pictures I posted a while back. Anyway, of course since it was our first wedding in a few months, we were just a tad on the nervous side. =) Everything went great though and it was the perfect start to the season.

Everyone looked fantastic and the ceremony was very sweet. We headed to the Grenada Theater in Emporia for the reception! What a cool venue! LOVED IT. Everyone ate, drank, danced, and Kari even got serenaded by all the men in her family! =)

Here's a few of our favorites from the day:

Brock, Kari, and families - thank you so much for allowing us to be part of your big day! We are so glad we were there to capture it! Enjoy!

A couple weekends ago we got to officially meet Jerrod and Alison! Guess what... we like them!! =) We're batting a thousand!!

It rained all morning (the same day we did Dallas and Aubrey's pictures. Then, when it came time to do this session, the rain pretty well disappeared and we were left with a nice, overcast, albeit chilly afternoon. Still, it was dry and we had a great time. These two did a great job. I know it can be intimidating getting pictures taken. We always say the first 10 minutes are the worst and then after that it gets much easier and more relaxed. I hope they agreed! =) Anyway, they were super cute and were as nice as could be.

That's all I've got for ya - it's past my bedtime!! =) Enjoy the pictures! Wedding pictures coming at you soon.

Well guys, our first wedding of the season was a lot of fun! The next day I had sore muscles that I didn't even know existed, so I take that as a sign of success! =) Congratulations Brock and Kari! We'll have more from their wedding up soon but for now I wanted to share a few of Kari's bridals I took a couple weeks ago.

Kari looked absolutely beautiful in her dress! I think you'll agree!

So which one is your favorite?

Well, it was bound to happen. With the weather as crazy as it has been lately, it was only a matter of time before we had a rainy session. It wasn't the cool kind of rain either. Not the downpour that looks good with bright yellow rain boots, a kooky umbrella, and a rubber ducky in a puddle. No, it wasn't that kind of rain. It was the drizzly-not big enough to show up and look cool in pictures rain-but too big to be out in it without cover rain.

Yep, it rained for Dallas and Aubrey's engagement session this past weekend. Sigh. I hated to see that (and I love rain!) It, of course, put some limits on us but these two were troopers! They even dragged their instruments out in this mess! I've known Dallas for years so it was good to see him again! He and Aubrey are great together and are hilarious too. =)

Can't wait to see their wedding come together. It sounds fun, unique, and very "them". It's going to be a great time! YEAH!

For now, we're shooting our first wedding of the season tomorrow!! YIKES! I'm excited and nervous at the same time! I know it'll be fun though. Stay tuned for another engagement session and some bridal portraits coming at ya soon.
