In case you're new around here, I am a 'Big' with Big Brothers/Big Sisters. A couple weeks ago, I decided to take my 'Little' on a little final-fun-day before school started. She's a 7th grader this year. Um... when did that happen!? When I was first matched with her, she was in 3rd grade!!

Anyway, I decided to take her down to Stillwater's Jumpin' Little Juke Joint, Eskimo Joe's. I introduced her to the world of the perfect plastic cups, the art of cheese fries, and of course, the ever-so-popular Joe's t-shirt. She was skeptical of its coolness to begin with but by the time we left she was SOLD! Thatta girl! =)

We had fun and today, we decided to have a quick little Joe's photo shoot just for kicks!

Good times, good times.

While I've got you here, I want to remind you we still have time-slots open for our mini-session day. We are no longer going to be doing the sessions at Island Park but we'll keep you posted on the new spot! =)

Guess who we got to see this week? That's right, miss adorably serious. Only this time, she wasn't quite so serious... she was ALL smiles. =) She has really gown and has more personality than ever, and bonus, she just seems to get cuter and cuter every time we see her!

We headed down to OKC for these latest shots and it was a blast. We love getting together with this family and love that we've gotten to photograph little miss from the very start. That's one of the coolest parts of our job!

Here's some of our faves. Is she cute, or what?!?

Since we were down in OKC, I just HAD to see some of my old roomates/friends from my days at OSU. We ate some delicious BBQ, I ate my weight in Pink Swirl yogurt, and we had a great time catching up! Love those girls!

Reminder: We still have spots available for our Mini-Session Day. Click here for more information.

You might remember last year we did a day full of mini-sessions. It was a blast and since it's prime family photo time (Christmas is just around the corner), we thought we'd give it another go!

This is sure to be a ton of fun! Here's some more information but of course if you have other questions, don't hesitate to ask! =)

  • A Mini-Session Is... a quick, fun way to get a few photos that are perfect for holiday cards, gifts, or just because! It's laid back, hassle-free, and we're all sure to have a good time.

  • You Get... a fun play date at the park, a CD of memories with 10-15 fully edited photos that are ready to be printed anywhere you'd like, and a print release form that allows you to do just that! You also get an online viewing/ordering gallery so you can order prints and/or other products at 20% off if you choose to do so.

  • It Costs... $60. The session fee is due at time of booking to reserve your spot. Make checks out to On The Wall Photography. Once you've contacted us to book your session, we'll send you our address and some additional information.

  • If It Gets Rained Out... you get a refund. Unfortunately, we're unable to schedule a make-up mini-session day this year. So let's all hope for beautiful weather! If it becomes necessary to cancel, we'll work with you to set up a session time for 2011.

  • You Can Expect... an e-mail, once you've booked your session, that gives more information. The e-mail will include information on where to park, what you might want to wear, what the experience will be like, etc...

I'm so excited to share this wonderful wedding with you!!

The bride and groom were truly amazing. Everything was classic elegance from start to finish. The reception was an absolute blast. And, wait for it... there were only children everywhere! (I might be a bit dramatic.) I realize that given all the awesome details of the big day, this probably doesn't rate right up there at the top for most people...but to this only child, it was fantastic! (I feel a story coming on...)

I already knew this fun fact about Shannon because Dac used to work with her dad, and he always told me how Shannon's dad reminded him of my dad... oh you know, like really proud and really cool and stuff. =) At the rehearsal dinner, however, Shawn and Shannon gave introductions and told stories about each member of their wedding party. Anyway, Shannon started talking about her matron of honor, and how they were matched up as roommates in college since they both played golf. Well, Bertie (who is married to an only child now) just so happened to be an only child too!! She talked about how when everyone found this out, they were worried about them being able to get along with each other because, since they were both only children, they MUST be complete spoiled brats who MUST get their way and CAN'T share, right? WRONG! (I absolutely despise this stereotype, but I'll restrain from getting on my soapbox.) That couldn't have been further from the truth, because they are two of the sweetest people and they got along SO well, that they became the sisters neither of them ever had. Hooray for that!!! =D All this to say, it was kind of fun to be around "my people". Ha!

Now, then, back to why we're all here....the wedding. The girls enjoyed a day of pampering at the hotel. I got to hang out with them too, which was a blast. One of the girls asked if it was weird spending the day with strangers while they get ready. Well, when you put it that way....it is kind of strange, but it's really one of my favorite parts of the wedding day. I really get to know the people involved and since we always work with super fun people, there's never a dull moment and it never feels weird. In fact, I know I've said this plenty of times before, but at the end of it all, I felt like I had known Shannon for years. While the girls got glamified, the guys played some golf and hung out.

The church was full of candles and beaming smiles...like I said, it was beautiful. The venues were so full of character and had a classic elegance about them. After the ceremony, a stretch Escalade and a party bus took us around town to do some fun wedding party portraits. Then, there was plenty of eating, dancing, and photo booth posing to be had at the reception. Speaking of which, Dac and I hopped in the photo booth too. I'll have to dig out our pictures and post them for you so you can see just how nerdy fabulous we can really be!

Hope you enjoyed looking at them as much as we enjoyed taking them. Plenty of new posts headed your way soon!

Remember these two? They got hitched! =)

Alison came our way via our friend/cousin, Erica. I tell you what, we have been SO very blessed with referrals. We've got to meet some really awesome people all because of this, and Alison and Jerrod are two of them!

Alison is down to earth and sweet as she can be so she fits well with Jerrod who is just a solid nice guy and fun to be around. Their friends and family were nice too! We like that. =)

Anyway, the wedding was beautiful and a wild dance party followed. I tell you what, these people can dance now! It was a blast!

We're so glad we got to meet these two!
