This weekend we spent the day with Chet and Kayla and a bunch of other really cool people. The wedding was lots of fun and Kayla made a beautiful bride! They seemed SO happy together. =) So I'm happy for them. Here's a little something to tide you over...
Happy end of Monday!

Remember these guys? Yeah, we love them. They are one fabulous family...let me tell you. When we took these pictures a few months ago, we already knew we'd be photographing this surprise anniversary party. We were pumped from the beginning because these guys are so much fun to be around! Lindsey ensured us we'd have a great time and sure enough, she did not disappoint! =)
Lindsey (along with her brother and sisters) literally spent months planning this special shindig for her mom and dad. She had everything decorated for a cool, elegant, rustic vibe, which I thought was just perfect. Her mom's family is from Germany so Lindsey had them take pictures of themselves with a note to the happy couple and those were framed at the party since they couldn't be there in person. Very cool. Everyone had a great time yelling surprise (and they really were surprised - how great is that!?!) and telling old stories. Lindsey gave a touching speech and I even found myself tearing up! Who knows what my problem was. Maybe it was my hurt leg. Yeah, that's it. =)
One of the coolest (and sometimes most awkward) things about photography is that you have to step into some of the most private, intimate moments in someone's life...and they let you! I'm in the dressing room as a bride gets her dress on and her mom adjusts her veil, we witness the very first moment the groom sees that beautiful bride, we hear family stories...sometimes embarasing (but funny) ones, we also see tears, and in this case we got to view a really cool slideshow she put together of their family's whole life together. =) It was pretty awesome and her mom is actually quite the photographer! Anyway, here's a glimpse of the night.
Told you. Cool family! God has really blessed us with these opportunities.

I love that we're finally able to get caught up on blogging! Last month we photographed another one of my cousin's (Amelia) weddings. It was in Texas and was a good time! Russel and Amelia are both goofy as all get out, they laugh a lot, and they know how to have a good time! =) That makes our job fun. The wedding itself was pretty short and sweet and the reception was a blast. Tons of people took advantage of the dance floor. That's what I like to see! Here's a re-cap:

Finally! We're starting to move past "sneak peeks" and into some real blog posts! Hold on to your boot straps 'cuz there's more where these came from!
You may remember about a month ago we photographed my cousin Cassandra's wedding. I loved the style of the wedding. It was a nice collaboration of punk, zoot suits, and glam. Cassandra looked gorgeous of course, the wedding was sweet, the food was good, and the band was excellent. What more is there to say? It was a great day! Enjoy the pictures!

Friday morning Dac and I headed down to Woodward, OK to photograph a wedding for two wonderful people (Jared and Kylie). Bonus: we got to visit some of my amazing friends from college! =)
We had the BEST time and are so glad we got this opportunity. The wedding was beautiful and so was David and Amber's little guy, who we met for this first time. I'll tell you ALL about our trip and the wedding when I post more pictures. For now, enjoy a sneak peek of the happy couple and of Mr. Adorable.
Kylie, Jared, and families: Thanks for welcoming us right in to your big day. Everything turned out fabulously! We wish you guys all the best!
Amber and David: Thanks SO much for letting us crash your cute place this weekend. We loved hanging out and can't wait to do it again (and before 2 years from now!)
