These two shared some college classes together and hit it off after several shy "good mornings". They are both criminal justice majors gunning to protect and serve and I just happen to think they're two of the sweetest people ever!

We had a great time doing this session out on Rusty's family land. It involved lots of hiking, knee-high brush, and several "stay calm Alisha, no snake is going to eat you alive" pep talks to myself. =) It was work but it was worth it for the cool spots we found. Check them out!

We are so excited for Rusty and Amanda's wedding over Labor Day weekend! It's at a quaint country church (a sister church to the one we go to to) where we just happen to have sunrise service each year. Anyway, can't wait!! These two are fun to be with!

Well, school has started again. For the most part this doesn't affect me much. Even though I work for the school district... I, unfortunately, have to work year-round. Like most of you, I don't get a fabulous summer break to refresh and get excited about work again. That's the con. The pro is that come August whenever everyone else in the district is whining about having to go BACK to work... it's no big bad change for me! I'VE been here the whole time! So there! I try to convince myself that the pros outweigh the cons. Come May, it'll be a different story though. =) There you have it. Early morning ramblings by Alisha. In other news, I'm getting a haircut today! My hair has been in an awful ponytail since May. Get excited, today is a good day!! OK, onto why you're all here.

You probably remember this cute couple from the sneak peek I posted a few days ago. We absolutely loved photographing Liz and Miles. They are head over heels in love which I think you'll see in the pictures. =) They worked it out for the camera...and it was well worth the effort. We had a great time doing the photo shoot, posing with the kitty and hanging out eating shaved ice. What more can you ask for? Here's a few of our favorites:

See? Aren't they cute!?! =) OK guys, have a fun weekend!

So I've been sitting here on the couch for, I don't know, maybe 30 minutes, with the laptop on my lap and me...falling asleep. I'm so tired. Today was one of those days that I was just up to ears in everything. Then, I got a fabulous peach pie (my fav!) AND had an awesome engagement session. All better. =) Here's just a little sneak peek:

We're having one of those weeks! Three weddings in 8 days... seems like coffee and encouraging words are the only fuel we've got going right now.
You're doing good work though, even if you're tired... just don't forget to let yourself crash sometime!

Hey guys! A couple weeks ago we had that fabulous (as always) opportunity to meet up with Amber and Ryan again. We photographed their wedding back in May and were supposed to have done their engagement session in April. Well, that day came around and it was windier than heck-fire =) out there. If you don't know how windy that is...it's WINDY. So we all decided it'd be best to postpone. Over three months later, here we are, and they finally have some 'engagement' pictures. Yeah!

These two are so fun to be with and photograph because they are just so dang nice and naturally in love with each other - so much so -  it just radiates from them (and makes for great pictures too).  I love how we've met some of the coolest people through photography. Anyway, Ryan and Amber picked their location and I think it was just perfect for them. Here's the pictures!

PS - I know we have a few faithful blog readers (hi moms) out there but I'm curious as to who is actually listening to my rambles each time. If you're reading this - will you please leave a comment so I'll know who you are! Thanks! =)

A couple weeks ago we took a walk on the wild side for Kayla and Chet's engagement session. Chet had the great idea of shooting at the lake - a location we hadn't tried out before. After the long, sweaty hike down the rocks...slowly (and by slowly, I mean me) but surely...we made it. It was beautiful and peaceful down there. Perfect. Minus the bugs, snakes and spiders of course! =) Hey, you know I can't help it.

These two seem to smile automatically when they're around each other - almost like it can't be helped. I love that. They goof off together, give each other a hard time, and laugh a lot.

I think you'll see that in the pictures. Here's a few of our favorites.

Chet and Kayla are getting married in August and we are fortunate enough to get to photograph it. It's especially cool because I've known Kayla forever practically...or at least since Kindergarten. Should be a super-fun time!

We shot this session over Mother's Day weekend and it was cold, rainy and windy as could be. Still, we headed out to a couple fun locations and made it work...shivers, chattering teeth, and all. =) Cassandra and Ryan were such troopers - thanks guys! We're very excited about the wedding this summer! Here's a few of our favorites:

I also want to let you all know that starting tomorrow, we'll be without our computer for a few days, so I probably won't be blogging much more for a while (although I hope to get one more up before that!!) and we probably won't be checking e-mails, but go ahead and send them, we'll get back to you just as soon as we can!!!
