We did some other fun things this weekend too but more on that later. For now, here's some pics of the festival.
We had the BEST time and are so glad we got this opportunity. The wedding was beautiful and so was David and Amber's little guy, who we met for this first time. I'll tell you ALL about our trip and the wedding when I post more pictures. For now, enjoy a sneak peek of the happy couple and of Mr. Adorable.
Kylie, Jared, and families: Thanks for welcoming us right in to your big day. Everything turned out fabulously! We wish you guys all the best!
Amber and David: Thanks SO much for letting us crash your cute place this weekend. We loved hanging out and can't wait to do it again (and before 2 years from now!)
You guys are more than welcome anytime. I can't wait to see the pictures of Tripp. It was sure nice getting to know more of you guys! Hope you enjoyed your stay.
(08.16.09)I think you two have found your calling...A-mazing!
(08.16.09)I love the pictures!!

I want to thank all of you who have booked sessions and weddings and made this year a full one! We are completely,
100% booked for the rest of 2009! We love to do pictures for people and it's hard to say we can't do any more this year but unfortunately there's
just not enough hours in the day and we have met our limit. Thanks again! We've had a blast so far and are looking forward to the rest of '09. If you're interested in getting pictures done in 2010...let
us know! =) There's plenty of dates to choose from.
What a great (and exhausting) weekend! I left straight from work Friday and headed down to Stillwater to visit my old OSU roomies who just happen to be two of my most favorite people. =) We did a little shopping, ate at Goldie's (we LOVE that place - the cheese fries are delicious as are the burgers), and headed to (my personal favorite) the BARN for a nice big Dr. Pepper. Next, we drove around town checking out all the newness. I'm thinking I should have traveled Europe or something for a few years THEN went to college. There's so much more to do there now! We ended up on Library Lawn where I took the following pictures. We watched some guys play Cricket and chatted. I miss OSU and I miss these girls:
After our campus visit we headed back and played old board games the rest of the night. We know how to party now. =) It was a blast. I love hanging out with them - they were my family away from home.
Saturday, I came back and was surprised when our friends Matt and Kelly stopped by to visit! It was great to see them too! We hung out a while and ate at Grinder Man. =) It would have been fabulous if Dac hadn't picked out a day (or two) old cookie for us to eat. I knew we should have went with the M&M! That night, we photographed the 30th anniversary party for the parents of this amazing family! We seriously LOVE this family. You can definitely expect more on this once the pictures are ready to post.
Later
that night, we made a fun trip to the ER. Everything's fine. My leg
has been bothering me pretty bad off and on for a couple weeks. Well
after being on it so much that night, it was really
bothering me. I knew because of some medicines I'm on and because
of a surgery a while back that I had a few risk factors for a blood
clot and I just wanted to make sure it wasn't something that
serious. So after 3 hours in the ER, several blood tests and an
ultrasound of my leg I got a clean bill of health and a wrap for
tendonitis! =) It seems to be getting a little better already (maybe
it's the 800mg Advil) so I'm happy for that. With all the session
we have coming up, I can't be having a bum leg. It's just not
acceptable. Yesterday, we went to my parents' house for a very
tasty supper and a lot of work ridding my old bedroom and their
garage of all my old stuff! It was nice to hang out with them but I
could have done without the working part. =) Plus, there were wasps attacking me in the garage. You know I hate that.
OK, I'll quit rambling now. Stay tuned for some "real" photos coming soon!
You should submit them to your college! A couple of those pictures would look great on their website!
(08.03.09)I'm not an OSU fan but these are great pictures and I agree with the above comment!:)
(08.03.09)I had a great time with you girls as well! I miss us! Haha
Thanks for posting the pictures girl! And glad everything is okay with your leg! I was worried!!!
(08.05.09)You ALWAYS should go with the M&M cookies!

I know, I know...you don't want to hear it. I'm not sure I'm ready for it either, but the truth is, the holidays are just around the corner! Now is the time to be thinking about doing family portrait sessions for those holiday cards and gifts. Since we have a full schedule, we are offering a day packed full of mini family sessions so more people can have the opportunity to get great pictures!! This is the first time we've attempted something like this and we're excited about it! We have 11 slots open on October 17 - first come first serve. There's more information below:
Get excited - it's going to be FUN!
Wonderful! Count us in!
(07.29.09)This is a wonderful idea you guys! I am sure you will take lots of pictures that day!

The first two cakes are ones we ordered for the surprise party. I think they're pretty funny. Bwahahahahaha. The third one, is my masterpiece! Terese always makes each of us whatever we want to eat and whatever cake we want for our birthday dinner. She wanted wedding cake. So that's what she got....or at least something like it. =) Don't be jealous of my mad cake-decorating skills. She also wanted mexican food for lunch. So Val and I made a taco/burrito bar and enchiladas and it was fabulous.
So I guess the point of this post (if there is one) is that we had a long, fun weekend and I ate WAY too much. Hope you all had a good weekend too. Hang in there - I promise we have plenty of real posts coming soon!
OH, and PS - Peety is home from the vet and is doing well. He had definite inflamation of the eye but they didn't find any scratches or anything else particularly serious. So, Dac's been putting this sab stuff on his eye three times a day and we're hoping by the time it's over, Peety will be 100%. He's already feeling a lot better so that makes me feel better too!
All I have to say is I NEED a slice of that cake...I said NEED!
(06.15.09)Thanks guys now EVERYONE knows I am old. Love it and you!

Last night, while we were eating supper, Peety was kind of moping around. We, of course, just kind of blew it off like he just wanted an enchilada too and didn't think much more about it. So we headed off to a very adventurous engagement session with Kayla and Chet (more on that later) and when we got home Peety was still moping and whining, and he wouldn't get more than half a centimeter away from Dac at any given point. Dac started to think maybe it was his ears bothering him. Then, as he was checking those, I noticed his eye was extremely red. The more we looked, the more we could tell that was what he was so upset about. He kept whining and rubbing his eye...he could barely keep it open. So at 10 p.m., we called the vet. Pugs obviously have very big, sensitive eyes that can easily get badly hurt... we weren't going to mess around with it. The Dr. told us to give Peety a little food and some aspirin and to bring him in this morning. So we did. The aspirin seemed to help tremendously and I was so glad to see him feeling more like himself. We're thinking it was probably something minor like dirt in his eye but he's still at the vet's office so we don't know for sure yet. Can't wait to see him!
Hope you all have a great weekend and if you have a dog, or a cat, or even a pig or iguana...give them a hug today! =)
Anyway, the wedding was beautiful as was the bride, and it was a great time to see lots of family that I haven't seen in quite a while. =) The first couple of days we were there we got to just hang out and enjoy everyone's company. I ate lots of good food too... tasty BBQ, fish, cobbler, cake, cake, cake and sweet tea, sweet tea, sweet tea... to name a few. I came back with a huge belly ache and vowed to never do it again...until next time.
The day before the wedding, I helped Courtney and my Aunt Cindy (Courtney's mom) decorate for the reception. Then, we relaxed by getting mani/pedis before the rehearsal dinner that night. Later that night, all of Courtney's bridesmaids stayed with one of her friends in her gorgeous home. She was such a great hostess and I had a great time catching up with Courtney's friends I knew from growing up and getting to know those I didn't know already. They are all fabulous and welcomed me right in. Whew!
Oh, and I edited these on my laptop, so they appear pretty dark on the Web site... sorry about that. The pictures aren't great anyway, but you get the idea. Just ignore the darkness...pretend everyone has a golden tan. =)
Like I said, the wedding went off without a hitch and I'm honored to have been a part of it. On our way back, we stopped to visit an IKEA. We love IKEA's stuff but had never actually been in a store. It was cool but I'm not gonna lie...it was a little overwhelming to say the least. We found some stuff we want for our new house that we've yet to find. Sigh. That's a whole other story.
Now, I think I need a vacation to recover from vacation! =) It was so much fun though. I always feel right at home down there and love to visit. I think Dac even feels a little more at home down there now too. I hope you all had a great holiday weekend.
Stay tuned for pictures from Justin and Erica's wedding we shot a couple weeks ago!
Great pics. You looked great Alisha! What were you so worried about? I love the picture of you and Dac...doesn't Dac give you that "you're weird" look often?? Love ya!
(05.29.09)They're building an IKEA store near us. Then you'll have ANOTHER reason to come see us!

Yesterday was a less than delightful day, until I got this:
That's right. A Godmother's day card from miss Journey herself! Sure, it was signed in her mama's handwriting, but it melted my heart none-the-less. I just love her to pieces!! Journey, thanks so much for the great card. I'll be scheduling a playdate soon! =)
Glad it made your day. You would of got it Sunday if you were at Church. This sounds bad but Mark is the one that reminded me to grab one for you :P Love ya, and so does Journey.
(05.12.09)Lish! I miss you! This is my first stop on your new blog and I'm lovin it! And I'm lovin you and your sweet gift of photography too! Come see us soon!!! PLEASE!!!

This morning, we got up and took donuts (yum!) up to my mom and dad's for mother's day. We hadn't got the chance to really visit with them in a while so it that was nice. Later today, we went to Val's (Dac's sister) house for a tasty mom's day lunch and a little Rock Band action.
THEN, (yes there's more) we met up with Cassandra and Ryan for a ridiculously cold but fun engagement session. We're very excited for the wedding this July. Now, we're watching a movie and relaxing. Yessss! =) Happy Mother's Day!
Thank you for spending some quality time with us on Mother's Day and for the yummy donuts! We Love you guys and the site and photos are wonderfull. You can really tell, through your photography, that you love taking pictures and people.
